How to change the PHP version in Enhance

This guide explains how to change the PHP version for a website hosted on Enhance.

Step 1: Log in to Enhance

Log in to your Enhance hosting control panel from the WebhostingNZ client area.

If you are unsure how to access Enhance, follow this guide first:

How to access your Enhance control panel

Step 2: Select the website

Open the website or domain you want to manage.

Step 3: Open PHP settings

Look for the website settings, application settings, or PHP settings section.

The exact wording may vary depending on the Enhance interface version.

Step 4: Choose the PHP version

Select the PHP version you want the website to use.

We recommend using a currently supported PHP version where possible.

Older PHP versions may be available for compatibility, but they are end-of-life and may be removed in future.

Step 5: Save the change

Save or apply the change.

Your website should now use the selected PHP version.

Important notes

Some websites, themes, plugins, or scripts may not work correctly on newer PHP versions if they have not been kept up to date.

If your website shows errors after changing PHP version, try switching back temporarily and update your website software, themes, and plugins.
